SGA Santa
I messaged the previous mod of the SGA Secret Santa a long time ago about taking over for them, because I'd hate to see yet another SGA fest close up shop. I've been given control of the community, but I've never actually ran any kind of fest before, so my clueless-ness is boundless.

So: when should I start making posts for sign-ups? Do you think it's too late? I have no idea what I'm doing here. Maybe open up sign-ups now, give people a couple months to write a fic, and then posting period?

Maybe you could message the mods of the due South Seekrit Santa fest? They're going to open sign-ups in a couple of days, so it's probably not too late, even if you have to take a few extra weeks to really plan things out.

Anyway, they might have some suggestions? IDK, I've never run a fest before, either. But I imagine you could either go over any old guidelines/fest instructions that you've inherited, or you could poke around other fandom fests and see how they do it.

And you'll probably need to signal boost quite a bit, to see if there's interest.

Oh man, you are wonderfully smart! I think squidgie is running the Due South secret santa, so it'll be easy enough to contact him. And gauging interest is ALSO smart. I at least know where to begin now!
