I've had this fic idea stuck in my head that I like quite a bit. It's FAR outside my comfort zone, both in terms of plot and content. I've got about 3k down and I'm just...not happy with any of it. To a degree that isn't normal for me (since I never like my writing). I think one of my problems is that I got the idea and just immediately started writing about it, but I should maybe sit down, work out some of the worldbuilding, maybe redo some of the plot. I'd really hate for my struggle to kill whatever motivation and fondness I have for the idea.

I was so so excited to find a package from [Unknown LJ tag] - a signed copy of Migrations! I took a selfie with the book, I just have to get off my lazy bum to post it :D

My brother agreed to continue paying the bills, but we decided that - because he has a baby on the way - we should probably start looking into finding a cheaper place to live so he'll have money to, you know, buy diapers and other necessities. We should be picking up the title to our new place tomorrow, have some minor repairs to deal with, and then...moving. Again. We've tentatively figured out that I can afford cable/internet, but we'll see how reality shapes up. I'll keep everyone apprised :)

It's good to get an update from you! I'm sorry the writing is proving to be difficult. You have many people who would be happy to have you bounce ideas around with you. I'm always available.

I'm also glad to hear that your brother is keeping the commitment that he made to your parents and you. He probably just panicked earlier and I can understand that. Hopefully you guys can stay put for awhile once you're settled. Moving is a pain in the ass, we've moved 18 or 20 times in the last 30 years. But I like being in a new place. I hope you do get Internet/cable and that things will be stable for all of you. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I might have everything plotted out better now. I just have to go through and edit everything coherently (it's just a mess of ideas right now). Hopefully I get a handle on this!

He did panic earlier. My brother suffers from severe anxiety - he takes meds for it and recently his dosage was up'd. I've already called and asked for cable/internet to be set up at the new place. I'm confident I can pay for it this time, though I'm not sure about any subsequent times...

Thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me ♥

Glad you have another place to live hon. I hope all works out really well for you this time.

Maybe when your brother's baby comes along he could give you money and you could probably use your Walmart discount to help with the baby things?

I know you will work out the problems with your story hon. Your a good writer.

Thank you, bb ♥ I really hope so too. We bought the place outright, so I hope that helps.

My brother also works at Walmart, so he already gets the discount. I am kind of hoping I can convince him to continue paying the car insurance to save me some money, but I don't know how things are going to shake out yet....

Aw, thanks bb ♥ It makes me happy that you think I'm a good writer *HUGS*

First off, YOU CAN DO IT! You're an incredible writer - you need to trust and believe in yourself. You're awesome!

And YAY! I'm glad you got the book! Seriously without my friend Kim's prompt and your cheerleading, that thing would have gone nowhere.

Thank you ♥ I had a long talk with a friend about the plot and I think I have a better handle on things, now. It's just a matter of editing the chat into a coherent outline LOL

You did such an amazing job with Migrations!
